Biomass Energy Working Group Takes Public Input
November 25, 2010
The Biomass Energy Development Working Group is a legislatively appointed committee charged with addressing the promotion and development of the state’s woody biomass industry while maintaining Vermont’s forest health. Known as the "Bio-E" group, the committee has recently issued a draft interim report on woody biomass energy. The Bio-E group provides a great opportunity for the public to further weigh in with their thoughts around the potential for biomass energy in Vermont. One of the best opportunities to do so thus far is coming up on November 30.
The Bio-E group will hold a public hearing to take comment on its Draft 2011 Interim Report on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Vermont Technical College. Find directions to the public hearing below.
Interested members of the public are encouraged to attend the public hearing and to provide oral or written testimony to the BioE Working Group at the hearing.
Interested parties that cannot attend the public hearing may submit written comments by December 7 to the Office of Legislative Council, attention Michael O’Grady, 115 State St. Montpelier, VT 05633-5301.
The Draft 2011 Interim Report of the Bio-E Working Group is available here or from the Office of the Legislative Council, 802-828 2231.
