VNRC Supports Ecological Protections at Willoughby

The Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation has issued a final draft
management plan for the 7,784 acre Willoughby State Forest that strikes a balance between timber, wildlife management, recreational activities and ecological protections. VNRC recently submitted comments supporting many aspects of the draft management plan, including the broad protection of ecological resources.

Keeping the Vermont We Love

In a recent commentary published in several of Vermont's statewide newspapers, VNRC's Executive Director Elizabeth Courtney asks Vermonters: What would your “last straw” be before you’d take serious action to avoid losing the Vermont you love?
